My mom used to make this for me ~ it really is the ULTIMATE comfort food (to me anyway). Sometimes I tell friends about Chocolate Gravy and they say “ewwwwww”. They just don’t know what they’re missing.
Chocolate Gravy
1 cup white sugar
2 T flour
1 T unsweetened cocoa powder
Mix all ingredients in a bowl and stir well.
Pour contents into heavy saucepan. Add 1 1/4 Cups milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Once boiling, turn heat down to lowest setting and stir for one minute more, until thickened.
Take off heat and stir in 1 Tablespoon (or more) butter or margarine.
Pour over hot biscuits. (I have been known to eat this right out of the pan…but it’s soooooo good over hot biscuits – and sometimes I even add another bit of butter on top).
Sit down with a friend and enjoy ~

This recipe for garlic bread I haven’t tried yet, but we love garlic bread so much I thought I’d go ahead and post it. Can’t wait to try it – especially with those pepper flakes.
SPICY GARLIC BREAD
You could bake this in the oven too, 350 degrees for about 20 min. Comes out great baked too, use less pepper flakes if you don’t like your foods too spicy. The pepper flakes give it a good taste though.
1 pound loaf Italian bread
1/2 cup salted butter, softened
2 tbs chopped parsley
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp red pepper flakes
Heat grill. Halve bread horizontally. In bowl, mix together butter, parlsey, garlic and pepper flakes until combined. Spread 1/4 cup butter mixture on cut side of each bread half. Sandwich halves together and wrap in foil. Grill bread 10 min. turning occasionally to heat all sides. Remove foil. Slice bread diagonally. Garnish with parsley sprig, if desired.
MAKES 8 SERVINGS OF GARLIC BREAD.

I made this pasta salad one day last week and took it to work with me to share for lunch. It is very, very good and barely got to eat any. It was gone in an instant!
I wish I had taken a picture of it – it’s so pretty!
Enjoy ~
GARDEN PASTA SALAD
1/2 pkg rotini pasta, uncooked
2 cups broccoli florets
1 cup sliced carrots
3/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tbs white wine vinegar
1 tbs Dijon mustard
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
1/3 cup chopped onion
Cook pasta according to package directions, adding broccoli and carrots to pasta cooking water during last 2 min. Drain pasta and vegetables, rinse with cold water. In bowl, stir together mayonnaise, vinegar, mustard, salt, pepper and garlic. Add pasta, broccoli, carrots, red pepper and onion, toss to coat well.
COVER, REFRIGERATE OR SERVE IMMEDIATELY.
Makes 8 servings.
